The Obsidian Winter Spectacular is our annual in-house Cheerleading and Gymnastics competition, a festive, feel-good event designed to celebrate the hard work, confidence, and creativity of all our athletes. Open to both recreational and competitive members, this magical end-of-year tradition gives every child the chance to shine on the floor.
The Winter Spectacular features individual routines performed in age and skill-appropriate divisions. Athletes learn a coach-choreographed routine at home using our video library, with opportunities to practise in class as the event approaches.
Every participant receives a Winter Spectacular Certificate and Medal, and our top-scoring athletes will be awarded trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Judges score routines based on technique and performance quality.
The day also includes a festive marketplace, raffle fundraising, Christmas-themed activities, and our special Competition Team Showcase where our competitive teams perform their routines ahead of the upcoming season and receive early feedback from an official judge.
The Winter Spectacular is one of the highlights of our year: a joyful celebration of teamwork, growth, and Obsidian spirit. Families, friends, and supporters are all welcome to join us for a day full of sparkle, cheer, and winter magic.

We are thrilled to announce that Obsidian will be performing live at the iconic Bath Christmas Market this year! Join us on Tuesday 9th December for an exciting festive showcase featuring some of our most talented athletes.
Set against the magical backdrop of Bath’s Christmas lights, our teams will be performing a range of stunning routines across multiple styles and levels:
✨ Luna – Lyrical Team
✨ Nebula – Jazz Team
✨ Advanced Acro Team
✨ Soloists from across Obsidian
✨ Level 3 Cheer Team
✨ Plus special appearances from additional athletes throughout the evening!
This is a fantastic opportunity for our athletes to perform for the public, share their hard work, and represent Obsidian in one of Bath’s most loved seasonal events. Expect a blend of artistry, strength, creativity, and festive sparkle as our athletes take to the streets with style!
We invite all families, friends, and supporters to come along, cheer us on, and enjoy the holiday atmosphere. Whether you're Christmas shopping or simply soaking in the festivities, we’d love to see you there!
